1929 - 2015
 Mary A. Wardell, age 85, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods in Byron Center. She was born April 5, 1929 in Cannon Township, the daughter of Leonard and Bernice DeLooff. She is survived by her children, Diana (Tom) Martin of Kentwood, Dan (Clara) Wardell of Grand Rapids, Sue (Dan) Jonker of Jenison, Joe (Nancy) Wardell of Grattan, Mary Beth (Dan) Nyson of Lakeview, Ann (Lloyd) Seese of Middleville, Patty (Mike) Smith of Caledonia, and Sandy (Roger) Hamel of Ionia; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Lenore Doran; and sister-in-law, Lenore Cartwright. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wardell; parents; two brothers-in-law, one sister, one son-in-law, and one grandson-in-law. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, Sand Lake, Rev. Lam T. Le presiding. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Mary Queen of Apostles Parish Center and Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to Mass at church. Inurnment will be in Coral Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice (Trillium Woods).
