Funeral services for Eugene Hare, 94, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Hare passed away Sunday January 25, 2015 at Silsbee Oaks Healthcare.
A native and longtime resident of Silsbee he was retired from Gulfco where he worked as a welder. Mr. Hare loved hunting, fishing and playing his guitar. He served his country proudly in the United States Army Air Force.
Eugene is preceded in death by his father Lev Haire; mother Louise Reece Hare; brothers T. L. and Truman Hare; sister Opal Moulder and great granddaughter Haylee Harrison.
Survivors include daughters Annette Flowers and husband David of Vidor, Linda McCarley of Allen, Marietta Arrington and husband Kenneth of Mesquite, and Angela Stevens and husband Paul of Sunnyvale, TX; sixteen grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
