Louise Simpkins, 92, of Wellington, KY formerly of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at home. She was born January 10, 1923 in Paintsville, KY daughter of the late Lester and Mable Cooper Adkins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Simpkins; granddaughter Gloria Coleman; two brothers J.C. Adkins and Lester Eugene Adkins; and two sisters Helen Simpkins and Margaret Mahon. She was a member of Rome Church of Christ. She is survived by one son Dee Simpkins of Wellington, KY; two grandchildren Dedra Simpkins of Mt. Sterling, KY and Charlotte Scott of Nashville, TN.; seven great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren; two sisters Vivian Miller of Virginia and Martha Taylor of Logan, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Minister Paul Keaton. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the funeral home.
