James Dalton Martin Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1920 - 2015 James Dalton Martin, 94, of Silsbee died on February 23, 2015 at his residence. He was born September 1, 1920 in Kingston, Louisiana and had lived in Silsbee since 1967. He had been a Baptist Deacon since 1969 and was currently a member of Northview Baptist Church. He was retired from Gulf Oil Refinery after 37 ½ years of service. He is survived by son James Richard Martin and wife Melissa of Silsbee; daughters Nelda Martin Landry of Houston, and Connie Martin Claus and husband Neale of Bridge City; seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. James is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Sallie Gibbs Martin; wife of 68 years Dorothy Nell Martin; son-in-law Donald Landry; daughter-in-law Connie Nubbin Martin; seven brothers and one sister. Funeral services for Mr. Martin will be 11:00 am Thursday February 26, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment to follow at Claybar Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bridge City. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
