Bertie Mae Hooks Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1923 - 2015 A graveside service for Bertie Mae Sally Hooks, 91, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Saturday February 28, 2015 at old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. Mrs. Hooks passed away Thursday February 26, 2015 at Silsbee Convalescent Center. She was a native of Polk County, a longtime resident of Silsbee, and former resident of Point Blank. Mrs. Hooks is preceded in death by parents Andrew Lee and Eugenia Beathard Hilton; husbands F. A. Wheeler and Floyd Hooks; and three grandchildren. Survivors include sons Dennis Wheeler and wife Judy of Lumberton, Sammy Wheeler and wife Barbara of Silsbee; daughters Jean Watts, Joann Leger, Paula Granger and Susan Read and husband Jim all of Kountze; sister Ada Vee Cleveland of Trinty; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and twelve great great grandchildren.
