1918 - 2015
Hazel E. (Stinson) Raymond Midlam, age 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday evening, March 19, 2015 at her home in Greenville. The daughter of William and Beulah (Hammond) Stinson, she was born November 16, 1918 in Charlevoix, just five days after the WWI Armistice. From age two, she grew up in Boyne City, and was a graduate of Boyne City High School. She moved to Greenville in 1941, and married Fred Raymond in 1942. Hazel was a member of the First Church of God for more than 75 years. She retired from Wolverine World Wide in 1978 after many years of employment. After the death of her first husband, she later married Paul Midlam in 1986. He also preceded her in death, as did her parents; five brothers; and two sisters. Hazel is survived by her brother, Keith (Polly) Stinson; sisters, Lila Stinson, Luella Merritt, and Doris Johnson; sister-in-law, Evelyn Stinson; many nieces and nephews; step-daughter-in-law, Pearl Midlam; step-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, March 27, 2-015 at the Greenville First Church of God with Hazels pastor, Rev. Bob Cooper, officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hurst Funeral Home. Interment Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
