Bobby Eugene Hayes, of Scottown, Ohio passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at St. Marys Medical Center. He was born in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Myron Berkley and Loma Dailey Hayes. The family returned to Scottown, Ohio where Bobby grew up and attended Windsor schools. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He was a member of both the American Legion #93 Ceredo Kenova and the Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878. He retired as senior mechanic with 27 years service from Novamont Corporation. He was also the Fiscal Officer of Windsor Township for 44 years. He was self taught and very knowledgeable on many subjects and the go-to person in our family. He enjoyed gardening and loved sharing his fruit and vegetables with family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Berkley and Geneva Hayes; a brother Danny Hayes; a sister Doris Hayes; and brothers-in-law Ona Tagg, Thomas Tredway and James Schriner. He is survived by five sisters, Betty Tagg of Westerville, Ohio, Patty Tredway of Scottown, Ohio, Peggy Schriner and Jim Shook of Sterling Hgts, MI, Kay Hayes of Proctorville, Ohio and Diana and Ed Wilgus of Proctorville, Ohio; two brothers Tommy Hayes of Proctorville, Ohio and Timmy and Karen Hayes of Scottown, Ohio, who lovingly cared for him during his final days; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bobby was a caring and loving brother, and a devoted son who will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Darrell Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Danny C. Hayes scholarship fund c/o PNC Bank 9 Chesapeake Plaza, Chesapeake, Ohio 45619. I am so sorry to see where Bob passed away, I grew up around Scottown. Then in 1971 I saw Bob at Chesys fat Boy. He was a great & sweet man. he always told me stories when he came in. I will miss him & so will everyone who talked with him at Chesys. I will pray for his family. Sincerely, Keith, Sue & Joyce Drummond

We were so sad to hear that Uncle Bob passed away. We loved him and will miss him. We will always remember the kind, caring and good person that he was.
