Mrs. Janet Gillentine, of Evadale, TX died peacefully in her sleep at her home, Tuesday, March 24, 2015.
She is survived by her husband Earl Gillentine; sons Aaron Gillentine of Vidor and Jason Gillentine and wife Jenn of Tyler; two grandchildren, Brent and Natalie Gillentine and sister Joyce Jones and husband Jimmy of Evadale. Very special friends were Madelyn Sanders of Lumberton and Margaret Root of Silsbee.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Valarin and Geraldine Gattis and granddaughter Tabitha Gillentine.
Mrs. Gillentine was born August 22, 1948 and lived in Oakdale, LA before moving to Evadale in 1959. She was an Evadale High School graduate, Class of 1966. She and Earl married August 7, 1971 and had lived in Evadale since that time.
Janet was a member of Central Baptist Church in Evadale and had been a member of Evadale Easter Star. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Services will be 12:00 pm Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in R S Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 10:00 am until time of service.
