1942 - 2015
Londal M. Taylor, of Proctorville, Ohio, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and cousin, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. He was born March 30, 1942 to the late Geneva Roe Woodard and step-father Ray Woodard. Londal was a local personality and his barber shop was a fixture in Proctorville for over 50 years. He always had colorful stories to tell about the history of the community and its people, narratives of fishing trips and other local trivia. He was an accomplished artist who has paintings in the Proctorville McDonalds and VFW. Londal was an active member of the Chesapeake HS Class of 1960. He enjoyed annual fishing trips to Canada with the crew of the Northwind: Bill Morgan, Jim Gibson, Mike Blankenship, Gary Duty, Bob Lester, Butch Galvin and David Waller. He loved camping, fishing and spending time with his many family and friends. Londal is survived by his wife Sheri Bellew Taylor; son Jeffrey (Beth) Taylor; daughters Tonya Patterson and Sonya (Matt) Burcham; grandson Ben (Melissa) Taylor and granddaughters Christie (Benny) Blake, Ashley McKnight and Courtney McCabe; three great granddaughters and three great grandsons. Friends may call at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville from 6 pm to 8 pm Sunday, March 29th. Funeral services with be conducted 1 pm, Monday, March 30th at Hall Funeral Home by Rev. Bill Haynes. A grave site committal service will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, KY on what would have been his 73rd birthday. The family suggests honoring him by donating blood, if able, as it is a life line for many leukemia patients. They would also like to thank the staff of Short Stay and Oncology at St. Marys, Dr. Richard Del Checcolo, Dr. Arvinder Bir and staff, and the gentle Hospice staff for their kindness and loving care during his illness. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Londal was one of my first barbers. Later he would come to my Dad's house and my Uncle's to cut hair when they could no longer go out. This will never be forgotten.
