Funeral service for Lyndal Jean Smith, 73, of Blooming Grove will be 2:00 pm Thursday April 2, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery in Silsbee. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith passed away at her residence March 30, 2015.
She is a native of Hardin County and a longtime resident of Spring before moving to Blooming Grove 4 years ago. Mrs. Smith was a retired data entry clerk for Kroger’s, Texaco, and Gulf Oil.
Lyndal is preceded in death by her parents Mark and Lilly Hall Blackmon; daughter Gina Marshall; brothers Joe Blackmon, Ray Blackmon, Edward Blackmon, and David Blackmon; sisters Lois Durham, Marie Thomas, Faye Moody, and Bernice Blackmon.
Survivors include husband of more than 50 years Paul Smith of Blooming Grove; daughter Deanne Gallup of Italy, TX; brothers Paul Blackmon of Splendora and Nathaniel Blackmon of Houston; sisters Rachel Mansfield of Silsbee, Ruth Ward of Silsbee, and Mary Ellen Sirmons of Deer Park; five grandchildren Phillip Marshall, Leland Gallup, Hanna Gallup, Grace Gallup, Chet Gallup and one great grandchild Raylan Marshall.
