My, dear Aunt Dot. I loved her dearly. I hate going by her house and knowing she is not there. I told mother she was waiting for her birthday to die. So, on April 1st she left us behind. We will never forget you.

When I was very young, my dad worked for Cyril at Brown's Garage and we lived next door. Dot & Cyril (as well as all the other brothers) were so good to Dad. They treated him just like a son and he loved them dearly. Also, my husband's grandmother, Lona Nix, was a lifetime member at Woodrow Baptist Church & she thought so much of Dot. We will be keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers. We know all the Browns that have gone before us and Dad are having a joyous reunion in Heaven!

I remember Dot with a smile when I think about sitting beside her in the choir at Woodrow. She always had such a dry wit about her and it would sometimes take me a moment to realize she was cracking a joke. She was a joy to be around and she will surely be missed. We will be praying for you, her family and friends as you face the days ahead.

To have known and worked with Dot was a special time in my life. So many sweet and funny things to look back on and even after years passing, they still bring a smile to my face. I loved her at Kirby as well as at church and visiting her at her home. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord; hang onto that promise. We wish you, the family, God speed.
