Funeral service for Jessie Lee Yawn, 83, of Fred will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Fred with interment following at Franks Branch Cemetery under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Yawn passed away April 11, 2015 at Silsbee Convalescent Center.
Jessie Lee was born in Port Arthur and had lived in Fred for the past 48 years. She was a housewife and was an active member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher.
She is preceeded in death by her parents Frank L. and Irene Sheffield and her husband Chesley "Britt" Yawn.
Survivors include her daughters Bridget Phillips and husband Buddy of Warren, Linda Yawn and Pam Yawn both of Fred and Stephanie Richmond and husband Cody of Lumberton; four grandchildren Nicole Prine and husband Waylon, Nathan Phillips and wife Hollie, Seth Yawn and Hunter Richmond; four great grandchildren Cameron McKinney, Corben McKinney, Chesley Phillips and Drew Phillips; sisters Nida L. Garrett of Port Neches, Mildred L. Thibodeaux and husband Albert of La Belle and Carol Ann Sheffield of West Columbia; sisters-in-law Joyce Ramirez and husband Joe of Nederland, Gerry Daniel of Nederland and Earmia Yawn and Betty Yawn both of Fred; brother-in-law Wayne Yawn and wife Bobbie of Nederland and many extended family members and close friends.
