John Calvin Lang, 91, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Friday April 17, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. He was born February 1, 1924 in Chesapeake, Ohio to the late George and Susan McComas Lang. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Grace B. Lang; one brother Herbert Lang; and two sisters Pearl Atkins and Zola Jordan. He is survived by three children George Lang of South Point, Ohio, Tammy (Jim) Meyers of West Chester, Ohio, and John Calvin Jr. (Judy) Lang of Chesapeake, Ohio; five grandchildren David Lang, Angie Lockhart, Brandon Lang, Jenny Brickey, and Liz Wren; nine great grandchildren Bryce and Cade Lockhart, Marissa, Austin, Cassidy, and Gabi Wren, Autumn and Alex Brickey, and Isabella Anderson; one great great grandson Zayden Herring; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a Deacon and life- long member of Symmes Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday April 22, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Langdon Cemetery, Chesapeake, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday April 21, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, WV.
