Carolyn,
My deepest regrets, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family....so many fond memories come to mind...You and Joe were like parents to me. With my parents being so far away I always knew I could come to ya'll when I needed that parental guidance or just needed to talk with someone......I was a hair stylist who worked with and for Carolyn at her shop; Artistic Beauty Salon. Their house was next door so Joe often would come over and visit...Joe, had a way of making all of us girls feel like his favorite or me anyway....I had countless meals at their house, I would stop to visit and he would insist on me staying for dinner....One of my cherished memories are the times that he would grill burgers for us...which was quite often...because no one could grill a burger, like Joe..
He also always was able to grow the most beautiful hibiscus plants....I am saddened for his loss, but at the same time I feel very fortunate to have known him and the memories I have of him and his family will be treasured in my heart forever..
