1921 - 2015
Earl Dawson Henry, 93, of Proctorville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Saturday April 18, 2015 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center, Huntington, WV. He was born November 7, 1921 in Huntington, WV to the late William and Grace Scarberry Henry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Earlene Schwab; two brothers William “Bus” Henry and Donald Henry; and one sister Pauline Stafford. Earl retired from C&O/CSX Railroad after 40 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church, Proctorville. He is survived by his wife Lorena Mae Henry; two daughters Jeannie (Greg) Stone and Edna (Mike) MacDonald; one stepdaughter Brenda (Mike) Meadows; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday April 21, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Jeff Black, Mike Smith, and Duane Smith. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday April 20, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Mission Fund of First Baptist Church or the Gideons International. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
