Merrel Gene Miller, Jr., 64, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Tuesday April 21, 2015 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born January 18, 1951 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his father Merrel Gene Miller, Sr.; and his father-in-law Asa R. Hayes. He was a retired Carman from CSX Huntington Shops. He was a member of Proctorville Masonic Lodge #550 F & AM and also a member of Bible Apostolic Church, Huntington, WV. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Marlene Hayes Miller; his mother Helen Miller of Hope Mills, NC; two sisters Lynda (Charles) Jeffery of Fayetteville, NC and Margaret Farley of Hope Mills, NC; two nephews Eric (Dawn) Cornell and their son Mason, Justin (Mandy) Fraley and their daughter Kylie; mother-in-law Lillian King Hayes of Proctorville, Ohio; and special friend Garold Callicoat of Proctorville, Ohio. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Oncology nurses on the 6th floor at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Dr. Arvinder Bir and associates at HIMG, Dr. Terrence Triplett at HIMG; all of his friends and neighbors, Abbott Home Health Care, his wife’s co-workers at Fruth Pharmacy, and his church. Funeral service will conducted 12 noon Friday, April 24, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor David Fairburn. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the funeral home with the Masonic Services to be held at 7:30 p.m. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
