Edward Britton Bell Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1934 - 2015 Funeral services for Edward Britton Bell, 80, of Blessing will be 2:00 pm Wednesday April 29, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment to follow at Baker Bell Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday April 28, 2015 from 5pm until 8pm at the funeral home. Mr. Bell passed away April 24, 2015 at DeTar Heathcare System in Victoria. He was a native of Fred and a longtime resident of Blessing. He served his country proudly in the US Army. Mr. Bell is preceded in death by his parents A. V. and Rebecca Lester Callaway Bell; son Everett Britton Bell; brothers A. V. Bell Jr., Bill Bell, Dizzy Dean Bell; sisters Haurence Baker, Tennie Moore, and Mary Hicks. Survivors include daughters Portia Elin Bell of Blessing, Linda Jo Ortiz of Arlington, Lana Joyce Bell of Alabama; son Edward Lynn Bell of Alabama; step-daughter Leanette Orcutt of Alabama; brother Buddy Bell; sisters Ettie Garroutte of Nederland and Jeanette Rao of Alexander AR; and five grandchildren. Mr. Bell will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr.Bell, thanks for all you did for me giving me a job the summer i lost my sister .making me laugh,giving me wisdom ! I will miss you sooo much! I'M glad i got to know you and I'll see you again ! much love sonia

I am proud to call Ed Friend. He brought joy to my life when I lived in Blessing. Ed was smart, industrious, and most of all kind and patient with friends. I know he got his wings. God bless all of you and especially Portia.
