Leonard Clay DavisLeonard Clay Davis, 80, of Ona, WV, passed away on May 10, 2015, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV, leaving all his pain and suffering over the past 11 years behind to gain the joys of his rewards with his Heavenly Father above. He was a retired employee of ACF Industries after 33 years of performing various duties on the yard, lastly operating the locomotive engine and yard crane. His most favored form of enjoyment after family was playing Bluegrass and gospel music with his many friends and family, and he was a member of Barker Ridge United Baptist Church. Leonard was born at Milton, WV, on May 1, 1935 to the late Ira Clay and Burnelean Reynolds Davis. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Infant Davis, James Dillard and Oscar Vinson Davis. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Izetta Carol (Sis) Scarberry Davis, and was the loving father to one daughter, Anita G. (Robert) Allender of Huntington, WV, and three sons Arnold Wayne (Donna Sowards) and Leonard Clay Jr. (Bridgett James), both of Ona, WV, and Jack Leland (Loretta Craig) Davis of Buffalo, WV. Also surviving are seven grandsons: Eric (Evelyn) and Michael (Kayla) Vititoe, Gary Wayne (Megan) and S. Tyler (Krystan, fiancee) Davis; Anthony (Amanda, fiancee), Matthew (Jeanette) and Christopher (Brittany) Davis; four granddaughters: Anna (Tyler) Norvelle, Niki and Katie Davis, and Mollie Ashworth, as well as 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters Mildred McComas of Ona, WV, Ruby Simmons of Georgia, and Beverlean Deal of Lesage, WV; three brothers Leo Davis of Milton, Terry Davis of Indiana and Ernest Davis of Virginia. Services will be conducted at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, WV, at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015, conducted by Reverend James Dailey and Pastor Roger Smathers. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and one hour before the service. Interment will be at Forest Memorial Park on Rt 60, Milton, WV. Flowers will be welcome, but donations to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House or to your favorite charity will also be greatly appreciated. wayne,donna gary & tyler...we are so sorry for your loss..leonard was not only a good neighbor to us but he was a man that loved his family but most of all he loved the lord...take comfort in knowing he has gained his reward & we will see him again...love you all...
