Oscar D. Dempsey Sr. Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1943 - 2015 Oscar D. Dempsey Sr., 72, of Ona, went home with the Lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born January 6, 1943 in Logan, W.Va. a son of the late June and Florence Hisaw Dempsey. He is also preceded in death by one brother Herbert Dempsey. He is survived by his wife Louise Wilson Dempsey; one daughter, Trudie Cordell and husband Luther; one son, Oscar Dempsey Jr. and wife Tiffany; one sister, Dollie Ferguson and husband Raymond; brother-in-law, Marvin Wilson and wife Carol; one sister-in-law, Melinda Sowards and husband Tracy; 11 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, six nieces, six nephews and host of friends. Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Pastor James Jobe officiating. Burial will follow in Green Valley Cemetery, Branchland. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
