John Joseph Surowiec Jr.John Joseph Surowiec Jr., born October 6, 1951, in Stuttgart, Germany, passed away peacefully at his home in Lumberton, TX on May 15, 2015.

He is preceded in death by his parents John Joseph Surowiec Sr. and Gladys Maxine Meyers Surowiec.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Betty Surowiec, daughter and son-in-law Tonya and Frank Arceneaux of Cedar Park, TX, son Tony Wiedman of Beaumont, TX, daughter and son-in-law Shawn and Greg Gill of Bullard, TX, daughter and son-in-law Heather and Wade Schindewolf of Spring, TX, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Kaci Surowiec of Conroe, TX, grandsons Austin Reyes-Cisneros, Aron Cisneros, and Addison Cisneros of Spring, TX, grandsons Jackson Burchfield and Lane Gill and granddaughter Perry Burchfield of Bullard TX, granddaughter Francesca Thomassee of Little Cypress TX, grandson Lico Cisneros II of Tomball TX, grandson Ethan and granddaughter Luxleigh of Conroe TX, sister and brother-in-law Lisa and Tommy Polk of Houston, TX, a host of friends and coworkers, his favorite Aunt Doris Warren of Lumberton, TX, many extended family members and his loving yorkie, Fanci.

He retired from Lucite International, formerly DuPont, where he worked for 37 years. He was adventurous, loved to travel, and spend time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service for John will be held at 1:30 pm Sunday, May 17th at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.

Betty, I am so sorry to hear about John. He was a great friend to me and I will never forget him. I pray you find peace knowing he is no longer hurting.
