John E. Buckley, 83, of Proctorville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 20, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. He was born November 30, 1931 in Pomeroy, Ohio to the late Chris and Kathleen Buckley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Shirley Buckley; brother-in-law Roger D. Fink; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law William and Beatrice Fink. He is survived by his wife Winona Fink Buckley; one son Jeff Buckley; one brother George Buckley of Zanesville, Ohio; sister-in-law George Ann Fink of New Haven, WV; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Danny and Donna Fink of Charleston, WV. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. He worked as a first class lineman with Ohio Power for 35 years. He was also a charter member of Sanctuary of Grace Church where he was custodian for ten years. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at St. Mary’s Medical Center and The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House especially Christina Davis and Ashley Turner along with family and special friends John and Kaye Arnold, neighbors, friends and Church family. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Chaplain John Arnold. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
