I just found out about Mrs. Chandlers passing. She was my 1st grade teacher and then became my sons 1st grade teacher 5 years ago. I'm not sure how he would have made it thru first grade with out her love and devotion to teaching.

Our hearts break with the passing of Mrs. Chandler. She was Kylie's first grade teacher, and she put her heart and soul into her job. Kylie said first grade was her best year in school and that is thanks to Mrs. Chandler for giving Kylie her time, attention and love. I also must say how easy Mrs. Chandler made it for me when Kylie entered first grade. She told me to feel free to call her at home or stop by anytime I needed her help! How many teachers do that?!! Only those who care about their students and all of humanity. Beautiful person, Beautiful soul. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Lane, I don't know what to say except I cared about Debbie very much and admired her tremendously. I did my best to support her during the time I was her Principal. She impacted many childrens lives and Fairland has lost a great teacher and friend. I often would kid her and say she could could "teach a rock to read", because she was very successful in helping students that had a difficult time learning to read. Continued prayers for you and your family!

So sad and shocked. What a devoted, energetic teacher. I am counting my blessings for having her teach my son at Fairland. I will always treasure that year at FES. She did Mother's day programs, grandparents programs, so much for her students. My heart and prayers go out to her family. Thank you for sharing her with us. Tammy Wilson
