Barbara Jane Stephens Miller, 80, of Barboursville, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born May 2, 1935 in Barboursville, a daughter of the late Charles Luther and Florence Ollie Fortune Stephens. She was a member of Steele Memorial United Methodist Church. Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Miller Chapman; she is survived by her son, Gary Scott Miller of Barboursville; two sisters, Leona Sanford of Barberton, OH, and Helen Mitchell of Dunbar, WV; three grandchildren, Michael Chapman, Mason Chapman, and Zachary Miller; and two great-grandchildren, Trey and Harper Chapman. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709 or your local Disabled American Veterans Association. At Barbara’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements.
