Phyllis Louise MoorePhyllis Louise Moore, 89, of Proctorville, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Monday June 1, 2015 at her home with her family gathered around her. She was born March 9, 1926 in Huntington, WV daughter of the late James and Nellie Shaffer Payne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Raymond Moore; two brothers William “Buddy” and James Payne; two sisters Mary Mowery and Joyce Boyd; daughter-in-law Donna Chapman; grandson Raymond E. Moore; and great granddaughter Destiny Jean Moore. She was a loving and caring mother to five sons, Bill and Theresa Moore of Crown City, Mike and Brenda Moore of Proctorville, James Moore of Scottown, Jimmy and Tammy Moore of Scottown, and David and Jean Moore of South Point, Ohio; four daughters Janie and Ronnie Ferguson, Diana and Michael Edwards, and Joyce Hazlett all of Proctorville, and Judith and Tommy Heffner of Chesapeake, Ohio; sister-in-law Betty Payne of Mount Vernon, Ohio; loving grandmother to 19 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and seventeen great great grandchildren. She is also survived by two special friends Clarissa Moore of Proctorville and Martha Livingston of Baltimore, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends. She was a member of the Rome Missionary Baptist Church for 62 years, where she was a Sunday school teacher and loved her church family and all that knew her. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. She gave all courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday June 5, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Berkley Saunders. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday June 4, 2015 at the funeral home. Dear Moore Family, I would like to wish everybody my very best in this great loss!! I am very lucky to know a lot of you and the ones I don't hello. she raised good kids in which tells me how good of a person she was!! LOL and nothing but respect from the moores in athalia ohio.

I will miss you very much Mama, you were always such a special woman to me. I will cherish my memories of all the time we had together. You were a big influence in my life growing up and I love you for that. May you walk with our loved ones and watch down from above and know your life here was a blessing to many.I love You always and forever, until we meet again.

My deepest condolences to all the Moore family on the loss of your mother Phyllis. She was an amazing and godly woman and I only wish I could be half the woman she was. I know she is in a better place. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

Sorry for your loss to all her family I know how close you are to each other and can comfort each other in this time of need. So glad that you called me so I could tell my Aunt goodbye for now but I will see her again in Heaven
