Wilma was a special person! She loved and was loved by many! She visited us one weekend when we lived in Indiana. On Sunday she worshipped with us at the Congregational Church and attended the Sunday School class which I was teaching. In introducing her, I said, "Everyone should have an Aunt Wilma," and I extolled her many virtues -- kindness, sincerity, loving, nurturing, honesty, excellent hostess, and a person whom all children loved dearly. Further, I mentioned visiting her in all of her homes except South Dakota: Huntington; State College; Rockville, MD; Colorado; in each of which she shared the many sites. The pastor seated in the circle of attendees stood, walked over to her, placed his hand on her head and inquired, "ARE YOU FOR REAL?" Yes, Wilma was for real -- a fine and gentle soul with numerous God-given gifts and talents. Now, she rests with the ages and we can note: Well done, thou good and faithful servant!!

Some of my fondest memories are of visiting West Virgina every Easter in my youth and seeing Papa Elkins and Aunt Wilma and my other Aunts and Uncles. More recently when I moved to Tennessee Aunt Wilma and Uncle Ed visited me here twice. I will miss her.

I have very kind memories of Wanda (Collins) Yeagar from my days at Marshall. Her nephew Mark lived with her. She would play hostess when Mark's friends visited. She was a remarkably kind woman. My younger brother and his first wife bought the home when Wilma moved. So grateful that the hope found in The Resurrection was secure in Wilma's life. She was a witness of Christ's love and grace.

Wilma and Ed were members of my Sunday School class. They showed me so much Christian love during the times that I was in the hospital and during the death of my brother. I have only known her for about three years, but I considered her a friend. Everyone who knew her will miss her.
