1925 - 2015
Ada Wilma Black, 89, of Barboursville, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 9, 2015. She was born September 13, 1925 in Cabell County a daughter of the late Leonard and Emma Martin Childers. She is also preceded in death by her husband Willis E. Black; one daughter, Deloris Payne; one great grandchild, Colton Hogsett; four brothers, Odel, Quinten, Clifford and Normal Childers; one son-in-law, Clifton Payne; one daughter-in-law, Roberta Black. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by three children, James (Betty) Black, Judith (Leo) Cooper and Jack (Robyn) Black; one brother, Okie (Dela)Childers; three sisters, Helen, Rosie and Dela; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Sharon Black, Allen and Christopher for all their help. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Tracy Call Officiating. Burial will follow in the Maupin Cemetery. I wasn't able to be here to see her go, but I know that she loved me and she that I loved her. While her passing is sad and she will be mourned, she has gone to a better place where she can truly watch over us all and protect us, as she did in life.
