Earl Creff Black, Jr., 71, of South Point, Ohio formerly of Ona, WV. passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015. He was born November 14, 1943 in Ironton, Ohio son of the late Earl and Boncel Childers Black. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by step mother Mary E. Black Dennison; and brother Robert L. Black. He was of Baptist Faith and retired from Pilgrim Glass. He is survived by his wife Betty Black of Chesapeake, Ohio; three daughters Tracy Fulton, Kristy Ticknor and Candi Black; two sons Phillip and Kevin Black of Milton, WV; mother-in-law Edna Childers; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and three aunts Barbara Childers Phelps of South Point, Ohio, Myrtle Terry of Milton, WV and Della Childers (Okey) of Ona, WV. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Buddy Muncy. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held Noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. David Apgar and the staff at River’s Bend Health Care Center for their kind and loving care during his two years of residency.
