Funeral services for Jewel Denson McGowan, 95, of Warren will be 11:00 am Monday, June 29, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following at Richardson Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 8:00 Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McGowan passed away June 24, 2015 near Colmesneil.
A native of Big Sandy, Jewel was longtime resident of Warren. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by parents Samuel James and Elva Freeman Denson, husband Nathan Charles McGowan, Jr.; daughter Doris Elva Rogers and sisters Lucy Howell, Eva Shandley, Lois Seaman and Lillian Hoffman.
Survivors include sons Tom McGowan and wife Charlotte of Beaumont, Wayne McGowan and wife Karen of Warren, and Dwight McGowan and wife Kristie of Tyler; daughter Jean Moffett of Birmingham AL; grandchildren Tommy D. McGowan, Greg McGowan, Paige Knowles, Kevin Moffett, Lemee Gonzalez, Renee Moffett, Nathan Walter McGowan, Amanda Gail McGowan, Jared McGowan, David Monteaux, Jr., Chad Monteaux, Lisa Moore, Amy Powers and Jeremy Wayne Lockerman. Mrs. McGowan is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
