Samuel Arwin Beard Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1917 - 2015 Masonic graveside services for Samuel Arwin “Pat” Beard, 97, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Friday, July 3, 2015 at Campground Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Beard passed away June 23, 2015 at Arboretum of Winnie Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Pat was a native of Kirbyville and a longtime resident of Silsbee. He was a retired salesman. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Ada Beard; wife Irene Beard and brothers Turk Beard and Homer Beard; sisters Bonnie Carter and Blanche Richardson. Survivors include sons Lonnie Beard and wife Edie of Dayton and Tommy Beard of Silsbee; grandchildren Ashley Freitag, Lonise Lawrence, and Jeremy Beard and five great grandchildren.

A good friend, longtime neighbor and all around great guy has won the race after a 97-year run. His church, his lodge, his family, his friends and the whole community has been blessed by his work and presence among us.
