Aurora Elizondo, 90, of Bridge City went to Our Lord Saturday, June 27, 2015.
Aurora “Mary” Elizondo was born in Port Arthur on January 8, 1925 to John and Lenora (Torres) Martinez. She was a wife of 73 years to her late husband Rudolph Elizondo and mother of 6 children: Tony and wife Sondra of Buna, Nancy and husband Mike Pearson of Groves, Richard and wife Sandy of Silsbee, Ronald and wife Paula of Port Arthur, Susan Thibodeaux of Groves and Rudy, Jr. and wife Deanna of Bridge City; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Aurora is also survived by a brother Joe Martinez of Phoenix, AZ. and a sister Elouise Pregler of San Antonio.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers John, Arthur and Alex Martinez and her sister Nora Lopez.
Aurora will be remembered by her love of growing beautiful flowers, reading non-fiction books and making her famous cheese enchiladas.
For funeral arrangements, Mrs. Elizondo requested a private family gathering after cremation.
