Dolly Ann Cornell Soward, 65, of Huntington, WV passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 at home. She was born March 20, 1950 in Huntington, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred Salem Cornell, Sr. and Mary Alberta Moore Travis; husband Howard Soward; and three brothers Holley Ray Moore, Fred Salem Cornell, Jr and Henry Travis, Jr. She was a former C.N.A. and bartender. She is survived by four daughters Henryetta Travis of Huntington, WV, Dolly Ann (Corey) Julian of Chesapeake, Ohio, Alice (Paul) Copley of Huntington, WV and Mary Lou (Russell) Gravely of Huntington, WV; two sons Fred (Angela) Cornell, III, and Brad (Beth) Soward of Catlettsburg, KY; two grandchildren Shane (Tiffany) Travis of Huntington, WV and Alia Soward of Huntington, WV; and other grandchildren that she loved very dearly; one great grandson Jacob Misner Travis of Huntington, WV; eight sisters Anna Lou Fortner of Huntington, WV, Elnora Chaney of Huntington, WV, Rosaline (Jim) Barber of Chesapeake, Ohio, Gay Haley of Russellville, KY, Sheila Jarrells of Huntington, WV, Mary Mechanic of Huntington, WV, Deborah Robertson of Huntington, WV and Mary Ann Travis of Huntington, WV; one brother Walter Null of Huntington, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Veronica Misner and Dale Robertson, Jr. Funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Charlie Cremeans and Pastor Ray Taylor. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hall Funeral Home.
