Karen Helen (Morgan) Wales Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1946 - 2015 Funeral services for Karen Helen (Morgan) Wales, 69, of Fred are 2:00 pm Friday, July 24, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Fred Community Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Wales passed away July 19, 2015 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Portsmouth, VA, Karen was a longtime resident of Fred. Mrs. Wales is preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude (Saulsberry) Morgan and James Tip Morgan Sr; husband Douglas Eugene Wales and daughter Regina Wales. Survivors include her sons Gene Wales of Nome and Jeff Wales of Fred; daughter Brenda West of Fred; brother James Tip Morgan Jr. of Nederland; sister Barbara Ann Huebel of Port Neches; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

I haven't seen Karen in years but I can still see that smile that was always there! She was a sweet person and will be missed by lots of folks around Fred.

Growing up with Jeff I spent so many afternoons at the house and Karen always made me feel like family. I have so many fond memories of little league and events at the school and just being a kid in general, Karen was a part of so many of them. She will truly be missed. My prayers and sympathy go out to her family.

Karen was a true friend. She was always ready to help do anything that needed to be done. She would keep you laughing and always positive. We spent many hours working on parties for the kids at school and PTC for carnivals and parades and anything the teachers and kids needed. Then we spent a lot of time going to town always wondering where to eat that day. I have so many good memories of Karen and all the group of us workers. I will always have this love for her and good times. I know she is celebrating with Regina, Gene, her parents and family and friends. She loved all her family so much
