Margaret Joann Ellis, of Huntington, WV passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 after a long illness with cancer. She was born May 11, 1937, in Lawrence County, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Georgie Ellis; her brother and six sisters. She is survived by her son George C. Ellis of Huntington, WV. She was well known in the fresh fruit and produce community in the early sixties and seventies. She was the owner of J. G. Open Air Fruit Market in Huntington during the sixties. She donated her body to the Marshall University School of Medicine for medical research. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at New Baptist Church 28th Street Huntington, WV. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Joann, you were truely an amazing friend that I have known many years. We shared alot of good memories together that I will always remember. I will never forget you my friend. Go fly high in that sky. May you R.I.P.. sending lots of love and prayers to George also.
