Funeral services for Jackie Wayne ‘J W’ King, 82, of Silsbee will be 2 pm Friday, July 31, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will be Friday from 12 pm until time of service.
Mr. King passed away July 27, 2015 at Silsbee Convalescent Center.
He was a native of Colmesneil and a longtime resident of Silsbee. Mr. King worked many jobs throughout his life. He worked in construction as a welder, a truck driver and he retired from Wal-Mart. J W was a member of Genesis Baptist Church and a longtime member of the Silsbee Masonic Lodge and Silsbee Lions Club.
Mr. King is preceded in death by his parents John Thomas and Nina Fay Crosby King and his wife Jeanette Bingham King.
Survivors include his sons Michael King and wife Tammy of Leander, Charles King and wife Jo Lois of Silsbee and Johnny King and wife Carol Martin of Silsbee; sisters Mattie Bryan of Houston, Margie Crawford of Baytown, Katie Hutto of Silsbee and Nellie Vinson of the Woodlands. Also surviving him are his loving grandchildren, Aaron King, Mandy Smith, Elizabeth Haskins, Melissa Watkins, Shaina Holmgren, Charisse Larouch, Stephanie King, Heather McMillan, Christy Hawthorne, Stephanie Ozment, Charles King Jr, Blake King and Amber King and numerous great grandchildren.
