Mary Katherine Ewanus, 79, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015. She was born July 24, 1936 in Bergoo, WV, a daughter of the late Joseph and Estella Boothe Kratohwill. She was a retired home health aide. She was a member of the International Sorority Alpha Iota, Chapter Beta Omicron, Business Womens Association and AARP. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Albert Staib. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Timothy Blevins of Barboursville; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Brenda Ewanus of Huntington; and four grandchildren, Aron Blevins, Koriana Blevins, Kristen Ewanus and Jennifer Ewanus. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Pastor Phil Chapman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday at the Fields Cemetery, Nettie, WV.
