Thurman Way Perry, 86 of Proctorville, Ohio and Virginia passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the VAMC, Huntington, WV. He was born May 25, 1929 in Kenova, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents Greenway Perry and Mary Smith Perry Trent, and step father Howard Trent. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Alice Perry; four brothers Paul Freeman Perry, Billy Henry Perry, Carlos Vaughn Perry and Armanan Perry. He is survived by one sister Annis Lee (Bob) Williams; special nieces and nephews Carlos V. Perry, Jr., C.G. Perry, Sheila Cullum, Jerry Perry, Christy Baker, Perry Williams; and many great nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Jodi Fortner. Burial will follow in Reynolds Cemetery, Addison, Ohio. Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878 will conduct military graveside rites.
