James Harold BlackBLACK, James Harold, 81, of Milton, WV, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton Ohio. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia, the son of Reverend Robert Lee and Una Mae Black. He graduated from Milton High School and held a Master’s degree in education from Marshall University. He proudly served in the US Army. He was a teacher, an entrepreneur, and served as a councilman and Mayor of Milton for several years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy L. Black, sister Eva Mae Spears, brothers’ Homer and Reverend Richard Black. He is survived by his two sons, Mike (Shelly) Black, Alan Black, and four grandchildren (Ty, Troy, Rachael, Rebekah) and brothers’ Bobby and Donnie (Bonnie) Black, and several nieces and nephews and other family members. Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 6, 2015 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home, 1760 U.S. Route 60 West, Milton, West Virginia, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, U.S. Rt. 60, Midland Trail, Barboursville, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gift remembrances be sent to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
