William C. 'Will' Gifford IIIWilliam C. “Will” Gifford, III, of Leander and formerly of Vidor, died on Saturday, September 12, 2015 in Cedar Park, Texas due to injuries received in an auto-pedestrian accident.

Will was born May 31, 1978 in Elgin, Illinois. He moved to Leander six months ago and prior to that had lived in Vidor for most of his life. He graduated from Vidor High School in 1997 and was employed as a Superintendant for J.J. Flannagan Stevedores. Will loved to watch the Texas A&M Aggies and the Chicago Cubs.

Will is survived by his parents, Joe and Patti Braneff of Vidor; his father, William Gifford, II, of Baytown; his fiancé;, Kelsey Suggs of Leander; grandparents, Estil and Mary Braneff of Vidor, Darlene Molenda of Wheeling, Illinois, Mr. and Mrs. William Gifford, Sr. of Baytown; and numerous other aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service for Will will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Turning Point Church, 3600 North Main, Vidor, Texas 77662. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 A.M. until time of service Thursday at the church under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home, 415 North 4th St., Silsbee, Texas 77656.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions in Will’s memory be made to The Humane Society of Southeast Texas, P.O. Box 1629, Beaumont, Texas 77704-1629 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 700 North Street., Suite M, Beaumont, Texas 77702.

Will you were loved by so many people, especially your family. My heart is broken for Kelsey who loved you so much and your parents, Patti & Joe. You were such a good & kind person, it's not fair that you were taken too soon. Go rest high on that mountain, sweet boy, I loved you like you were my own.

such a tragic loss. I had the pleasure to work with Will here at the port for quite a few years and got to watch him grown into a fine young man. I am proud to be able to call him a friend. We will miss you, Will.
