Oval Elden Doss, 82, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away peacefully at home Wednesday September 23, 2015. He was born in Huntington, WV February 11, 1933 to the late Alva and Bernice Doss. He was a graduate of Huntington East High School and a U.S. Army veteran serving as an aircraft mechanic in Korea. He was retired from INCO Alloys where he worked as a crane operator for 38 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Dolly Lou Doss. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Beulah Mooney Doss; two daughters Cheryl (Tim) Conzett of Proctorville and Karen (Jerry) Lacy of Charleston; four grandchildren Matthew and Emily Conzett, and DJ and Kalissa Lacy; one brother Wayne Doss (Dreama) of Huntington; several nieces and nephews; and very special neighbors and friends. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday September 26, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday September 26, 2015 at Rome Cemetery Mausoleum by Reverend Kevin Mackey of St. Paul Lutheran Church. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Huntington for the exceptional care and the Rome Volunteer Fire Department for their assistance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington or the Rome Volunteer Fire Department would be appreciated.
