Philip Gregory “Groundhawg” Perry, 61, of Barboursville, passed away Sunday September 27, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Mark A. Kloha. He was born October 24, 1953 in Fort Monmouth, NJ, a son of the late Philip Rogers and Connie Jordan Perry. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Staci and Chris Scarberry of Barboursville, and her mother, Karen Rice; one sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Joe McConda of Russell, KY, two grandchildren, Tanner Joseph Perry and Regina Sue Scarberry; several aunts and uncles, Eileen Perry Ray and the late Don Ray, Ronald L. and Eleanor Perry, Judy Perry Mora and the late Albert Mora, Sharon Perry Reinhart and her husband, Bill, Dixie Perry Nash and her husband, David, all of FL, Kay Perry Trammell and her husband Tom, of AZ, Buck and JoAnn Perry, of Barboursville, Doyla Perry and the late Frank Perry, of Cleveland, OH, P.J. and Joyce Jordan of Huntington, and the late Suzanne Jordan. We worked together at Supervalu. "For years we worked together." I have a lot of good memories of "Groundhog" he had a great sense of humor and it was great to hear him laugh. I miss those times. RIP my friend.

Sorry to learn of Greg's passing. We were Barboursville High classmates of 1971, and former Little League Hawes Pharmacy teammates, as kids. Best wishes to the family in this time of loss and sadness.
