Luvenia Smith, 89, of Chesapeake, OH, passed away October 14, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Jerry Ryder. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. She was born November 4, 1925 in Lesage, a daughter of the late Samuel and Nettie Maye Martin Rider. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Smith, her son, Johnny Dennison, sisters, Maxine Eplin, Doris Persinger, and brothers, Ted, Calvin, and Oscar Rider. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Richard Kipp of Chesapeake and one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Rebecca Dennison, of Ona; one sister, Edna Russell, of Albany, OH, and one brother, Robert Rider of Milton; grandchildren, Kimberly and Jerry Briscoe, of Ona, Robin Kelli and Dirk Plybon, of Chesapeake, OH, Danny and Angela Kipp, of Gallipolis, OH, Jenny Ferris, of South Point, OH and Joannie Dennison (Carlos) of Orlando, Fl; several great and great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like thank a special friend and caregiver, Lora. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
