Veronica Sue Hackney, age 44, passed away on Sunday October 25, 2015 at her home in Chesapeake Ohio. She was born in Landstuhl Germany on an American military base to Charles Bryant and Sandra Brandt. She completed her associate’s degree in criminal justice and was one semester away from completing her bachelor’s degree. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was survived by her father Charles W. Bryant (wife Tammie) from Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Paula Cacciola (husband Blaise) from San Jose, CA; brothers Charles W. Bryant Jr. from Columbus, IN; and Scott Bryant (wife Annemarie) from Jacksonville Florida; children Ashley Lyons from Columbus, IN; Kayla Lyons (husband Christopher) from Ashland, KY; Daniel W. Lyons from Chesapeake, OH; Charles Lyons from Ashland, KY; and her grandchildren Ashley’s daughter Halo-Aurora L.S. Sparkman; Kayla’s children Anastacia M. Dalton, Christopher X. Lumpkins, and Rhea A. Lyons; and Daniel and Annessia’s daughter Athena-Nicole Lyons. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Herbert Asher, Lela Dietz, Goldie and Samuel Bryant. She was also preceded in death by her mother Sandra Brandt and a grandson Joshua P. Lyons.
