Art Colburn, 59, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born February 28, 1956 in Huntington, WV to the late Howard M. and Rubylene Johnson Colburn. He was an avid Marshall and Fairland sports fan, volunteering his time. He was an employee of Heiner’s Bakery. He is survived by one son Darren Colburn of Proctorville; three sisters Martha (John) Bryant of Lexington, KY, Cheryl Colburn and Steve Chapman of Huntington, and Alice Colburn of Lexington, KY; two brothers Gary (Gwen) Colburn of Lexington, KY and Larry Colburn of Lexington, KY; aunts Eloise Johnson of Huntington and Martha Michaels of Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Dr. Kermit Taylor. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2015 at the funeral home. I only saw Art once or twice after high school, but he was so friendly and personable. I know he loved his family and his communities, both Westmoreland and Proctorville. He was a fine man. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I worked with Art at the Toyota plant several years ago. He always had a great sense of humor. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Darren and family...I'm so sorry to hear of passing of your daddy ...I always enjoy talking to him when I seen him...haven't seen or talked to him in awhile ...Art will be missed by all that knew him...I feel your pain ...just keep your memories close to your heart remember all the time you had with your daddy it helps to put a smile in your heart ...my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of sorrow ....

I had a lot of great times growing up with Art in Westmoreland. He was one of the funniest and kindest guys you would ever hope to meet. Everybody loved him and he will surely be missed......

Darren,I'm so sorry for the loss of your Daddy! I know how much you loved him and he loved you! You was the light in his eyes. I know how close you was to him and will miss him dearly! Cherish the wonderful memories you have together and when you start missing him reminsce on a happy memory you two shared together!
