Shelba Jean Curry, 75, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Thursday November 12, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born September 23, 1940 in Proctorville, Ohio to Lillie Marie Stapleton of Proctorville and the late Steve Charles Stapleton. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernie Curry; two daughters Robin Curry and Sherry McMillian; brother Charles “Sam” Stapleton; grandson J.C. McMillian; and two sons-in-law Mike Leffinwell and Everette Dillon. Shelba is survived by three children Ernest Curry (Donna), Kelley Dillon, and Scott Curry; one stepdaughter Mary Gibson; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; one brother Glenn (Vicki) Stapleton; one sister Sharon Bryant; sister-in-law and special friend Gloria Stapleton. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday November 15, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Duane Smith. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday November 15, 2015 at the funeral home.
