Ronnie Allen Chapman, 48, of Ona, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at his residence. He was born March 11, 1967 in Cabell County, a son of the late Lloyd and Kathleen Chapman. He is also preceded in death by his father-in-law, James Spurlock. He is survived by his wife Krista Chapman; one son, James Daniel “J.D.” Chapman; one sister, Karen Baker; one brother, Lloyd “Chub” Chapman; two nephews, Andrew Chapman and Joshua Baker; one niece, Laura Smith; mother-in-law, Connie Underwood and her husband Danny and a loving grandmother Lorena Bryan. He was a long time employee with Sturm Machine where he had a host of good friends and a very special friend Danny Mills. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Danny Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Bexfield Cemetery. I have known Ronnie for my entire life. I have some very fond memories from my childhood because of him and some of the silly things he did. I will NEVER forget the dinosaurs van either. Ronnie seemed like a big brother to me. I will miss him even tho we haven't seen much of each other in the past ten plus years. He spent sometime at my moms afters my dad passed just talking. A heart of gold gone too soon. RIP Buddy.

I only knew Ronnie a short time, but, I considered him my friend. He was a good and selfless man, he will be missed by all that knew him. Rest well, my friend, you are gone too soon.
