I was very saddened this morning with the news of the passing of one of my favorite teachers' and friend. It has been over 30 years since I left Chesapeake High School but my most cherished memories are my junior and senior years with Mr. Nance. He was a very good man and a very good teacher. He not only taught from a book but also about world events as they were happening. I have fond memories of his classes and the subjects we discussed. I only saw him a few times in the years since high school, but he was always in my thoughts and prayers. I phoned a friend and a former student of Mr. Nance's this morning about the news and he replied "he was larger than life",. I truly believe most of his former students feel the same way, I know I do.
Thank You Mr. Nance!!.
