Gretta Faye Triplett Whitley, 84, of Chesapeake, Ohio went home to be with our Lord on Saturday November 28, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Funeral service 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Rev. Charles Case. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the funeral home. Gretta was born January 18, 1931 in Huntington, WV daughter of the late Ernest and Alma Bowen Triplett. She was a 1949 graduate of Huntington East High School. She was a retired payroll clerk for the Chesapeake Local School District. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Betty Bias and Norma Jean Desmond. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Kohn T. Whitley; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Donna Whitley of Huntington, WV; two granddaughters Kathleen Whitley of Culpeper, VA and Kaitlin Whitley of Columbus, Ohio; and many special friends, nieces and nephews. She was a member of Chesapeake United Methodist Church and a Hospice volunteer. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
