Herbert Neale Drake Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1939 - 2015 Herbert Neale Drake, Sr., 76, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Sunday November 29, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born November 6, 1939 in Manila, WV to the late Pat and Opal Drake. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Melva Jean Drake; and son “Little Neal” Drake. He is survived by his daughter Pamela Drake (Ronnie) Donahoe of Louisiana; son Mark (Heather) Drake of Man, WV; five grandchildren Amanda Martin, Dakota Martin, and Riley Martin all of Louisiana, Zachary Ross of Proctorville, Ohio, and Tara Drake of Man, WV; five siblings, Paul (Lynn) Drake of South Point, Ohio, Charlotte Drake Carter of Chesapeake, Ohio, Karen Drake Turner of Proctorville, Ohio, Linda Drake Tanner of Owensburg, KY, and Dorcie Drake of Chapmanville, WV; and special friend Shirlene Wilson Drake of Chapmanville, WV. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday December 4, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Minister Paul Drake. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday December 3, 2015 at the funeral home. Our thoughts Prayers are with the family and friends of Neale. Neale has been a special friend in our family for many years he will be dearly missed. He was one of my husbands best friends and now they have been reunited in heaven to watch over all of us. Love and hugs Pam RIP Neale

I was sorry to read of Neales passing. I have known him & Jean since 1971. He will be missed by all his dear friends on 2nd Ave. Prayers for the whole family.

I am so sorry for your loss, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Neale and my dad (Dewey Davis ) were very good friends. Daddy used to tell me all the time "they don't make them any better than Neale and Jeannie."

My thoughts and prayers are with the family & friends of Neale! I've known Neale what seems like my whole life, him and my Dad were best friends here on earth and hopefully reunited now, he was a very good guy and will be missed by many! Fly High! ::hugs:: 3
