I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Ernie. He was such a generous person in sharing his research and photos of headstones with others. God Bless all of his family and friends in their loss.

Ernie did a great deal for the library and did not want recognition as History Hero. He most recently photographed Woodmere Cemetery and donated a group of cds to the library. He volunteered to watch the library while we were in Guyandotte and served on the board until recently once we moved to Huntington. He indexed the 120th Militia book and completed other duties around the library. I will always remember his bringing in his grandchildren during the summers so they could appreciate the hobby and learn about history. Debbie Campbell KYOWVA Genealogy President I plan to nominate him for History Hero next year. We will be purchasing a book for the library in his memory. Will send you written notice of these honors.

I didn't know Mr. Wright personally but would like to say how very much I enjoyed the many meaningful historical posts he shared online. His posts gave me and many others an insight we wouldn't have otherwise had into our West Virginia roots. I am so sorry for your loss.
