Funeral services for Robert Dale “Punky” “Bob” “Bobby” Newell, 84, of Beaumont will be 10:00 am Sunday January 03, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment to follow at RS Farmer Cemetery in Silsbee. Visitation will be from 8:00 am until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Newell passed away Friday January 1, 2016 at Touch by an Angel Nursing Home in Beaumont.
He was born June 4, 1931 in Victoria, Texas to Robert J. and Katherine Hencherling Newell. He was a retired painter for Local 130 and served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corp.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, wife Bessie Newell; brother Wallace Newell, sisters Nita Jones and Renie Colley.
Survivors include sister Linda Schoppe and husband Julius of Texas City; sister-in-law Winnie Newell of Bryan, Tx; brothers-in-law O.C. Jones of Clear Lake, Bobby Colley of Dickerson; step-daughters Mary Cobb and husband Mickey of Beaumont, Johnnie Mae Foret and husband L.B. of Lumberton; step-sons Jeffery Billot of Lumberton, Kenneth Campbell and wife Vickie of Clute, Milton Campbell and wife Tina of Lumberton; many nieces nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
